That was awesome! No wonder I was having trouble with that thing. Now I’m set.

great stuff! I have often wondered how this thing works!

I have so many video clips here that need editing… a product to launch…. places to build… yaddayadda…

hmm.. now I have more distraction. argh! thx.

Btw: I have been working on a little test thingy which lets you upload video and converts it to flv - a bit like YouTube. When I get a chance, I’ll get it working with QT caps from SL and see it I can hook up an SL version of YT, dedicated to machinima.

If I get round to it today, I’ll try some tests on some old caps I did ages ago.
One hair-brained scheme at a time though, eh? ;)

    Thanks again!

    maybe I’ll set it up at imadethis.tv ? :)

Thanks for the video. I didn’t know something like that existed. I grabed a kit in Lukanida and got it working in no time after seeing this.

    Hi,

Very nice. I am wondering where in SL I can find this Alt-Zoom Camera to buy?

Someone on this thread mentioned “Lukanida” but i can’t seem to find that in searching nor can I find a SL location for alt-zoom studio.

    Playing with Alt-Zoom’s camera

I read on New World Notes about the free Alt-Zoom camera being promoted by machinimaniac Moo Money. Moo posted a cool video on YouTube that consisely and clearly demonstrates how to use this in-world video camera. I decided to give

[...] The virtual world is creating a culture of machinimakers. New Media Consortium has a school opening next year for synthespians with Northwestern, and there are avatar actors guilds forming in Second Life. Tools, like one moo demonstrated to allow smooth “dolly” shots, are being developed to help facilitate this art. [...]

    Hey there moo,

I wondered if you wanted to blog about the updated version of the camera that was released last week? Your readers might find it useful. :)

Oh boy! I’ve been looking EVERYWHERE for this… it’s no where! I can’t find a single link ANYWHERE that has a working demo of how to use Alt-Zoom right. Okay, this page is even a year and a half old, so the owner may never see it. If anyone happens across this link… my name in-world is the same here and above. PLEASE IM me! I’m getting desperate! I’ve been trying and trying to get a working screen capture program that doesn’t make me want to jump off a bridge. And the funny thing is, I can’t find a single person who will willingly help me out of the kindness of their heart. It’s like they know how to DO it, and won’t share that. I don’t get it. It’s either “MINE MINE MINE” or “You are SO stupid! Everyone knows how to capture video!” In the mean time, I FEEL stupid AND I feel hurt by the other half that are the selfish hateful people. I’m a teacher, I just want to make instructional videos. What’s the harm in that. It’s not like I’m trying to steal money out of someone’s pocket. But you’d think I was trying to rob someone blind for all the help I’ve been getting. *sighs* If anyone can help me, and not with “Oh, go to Fraps” because that has NO instructions on how to use it, I may be a teacher, but I DO need instructions, then I’d greatly appreciate it. …. Thanks… I did try Alt-Zoom… but I don’t know how to get it to “record” once I have all the little boxes all set up. I hit the ’start/stop’ buttons and I get a broken screen in 4 boxes all messed up that look like someone went at it with a hack saw…. :( Thanks again…
